Ashevilla Wines began in 2008 when George and Stacey Ibrahim decided that their home, Asheville, needed a wine that showcased the city. They collaborated with Grove Winery, located in the Haw River Valley, one of North Carolina's recognized appellations and home to some of the best grapes and wines in the state. As a private label, Ashevilla Wines is distributed exclusively by Smoky Mts. Wines and
is available only within the Asheville market.

While good wine starts off with good grapes, an attractive label draws the attention
of the consumer. Jeff Pittman, an Asheville artist, did the artwork featured on
Ashevilla Wines http://www.jeffpittmanart.com/. These paintings are of area scenes thus remaining true to the vision of staying as local as possible throughout the entire
production process.

But that's not how the "story" started! George walked all over Asheville, going into gallery after gallery, until he saw Jeff's work. He knew he had found the "look" he wanted on his labels. It seems Jeff's talents run in the family. George suddenly recalled that the first "real" art that he ever purchased had been painted by a "Bob Pittman". These works were of a summer camp where George spent many a year
as a counselor. Well, Bob is Jeff's father, and it turns out George had been one
of Jeff's counselors! "Only in Asheville", we like to say!
